Double the fun! Tatjana Deglau scored twice at the German Petfluencer Awards 2025–officially proving that having a self-proclaimed “Tsar” and a “Diss Master” in the household brings not only chaos but also success. With Apollo, the majestic fluffy cat with a Russian accent, and Cosmo, who always has a comeback ready, she captivates hundreds of thousands daily on her TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube accounts. In a PETBOOK interview, Tatjana reveals how it all began–and why she sometimes laughs until she cries while editing her videos.

Tatjana, Cosmo, and Apollo won in the Video Creator and Audience Award categories

PETBOOK: Tatjana, congratulations! You’ve won in two categories, making you one of Germany’s most successful petfluencers. Please tell us how it all started. How did Apollo and Cosmo come to you, and when did you decide to start making videos with them?
Tatjana Deglau:
“Thank you so much! I still can’t believe we were awarded twice at the German Petfluencer Awards 2025–it’s truly incredible! A huge thank you to my viewers and to TONY Petfluencer Agency!

Apollo was the first to join me–a proud fluffy cat who thought he was king of the house from day one. Cosmo followed shortly after, bringing plenty of chaos and humor into our lives. The idea for the videos came about quite spontaneously. I just wanted to capture their funny quirks–and then the internet loved them as much as I did.”

How did Apollo, the Tsar, and Cosmo, the Diss Master, react when they heard about your awards?
“Apollo was, of course, convinced the award was his–after all, quote: ‘I’ll take everyone down otherwise!’

Cosmo, on the other hand, just said: ‘Great, finally a trophy I can see myself in!’–so, just like always.”

Who was prouder–you or Apollo? Or did Cosmo respond with a cheeky comment?
“I think Apollo was so proud he was almost unapproachable. I had to promise him that his trophy would be in the ‘royal display case.’ Cosmo kept joking that he was the real star. Typical.”

Apollo and Cosmo regularly tease Tatjana in the videos

If the boys could give an acceptance speech, what do you think they would say?
“Apollo would thank everyone–but very statesmanlike: ‘I thank my followers and my mediocre servant Mamka.’

Cosmo, on the other hand, would probably whisper into the mic: ‘I thank myself.'”

Cosmo is known for not exactly flattering you in the videos–is he just as cheeky in private, or is that just his social media persona?
“He’s like that in private too. But that’s exactly what I love about him. Behind his cheeky demeanor is so much charm–and a lot of love, which he shows us daily with his demands for cuddles.”

Apollo always sounds like he left his palace somewhere in St. Petersburg. How did his ‘Russian accent’ come about?
“It actually just developed! I gave him a voice while playing one day–and suddenly he was the Tsar from Siberia. Since then, I can’t imagine him without that accent.”

And honestly: Does he really miss his testicles as much as he claims?
“Absolutely! He carries this trauma with dignity–but he reminds us of it at every opportunity. His prosthetics, crafted by Luise (@Gnochi_thekitten), make his daily life easier.”

More on the topic

Even famous cats need regular vet visits

How is it for you when you’re editing the videos and constantly interacting with these two very different “personalities”–more chaos or pure joy?
“Both! Sometimes it’s like working with two little diva actors. But I love every second of it. I often laugh out loud while editing because their lines fit so perfectly.”

Despite all the humor, you also share serious topics. How was it for you when you found out Apollo has FORL?
“It was a shock. I had never heard of it before and had to do a lot of research. It broke my heart to see him in pain. But I wanted to address the issue publicly to raise awareness among other pet owners.”

What would you like to tell other cat owners who may have never heard of the disease?
“Go for regular check-ups! Even if your cat shows no obvious signs of pain. FORL is insidious and often detected late. Early diagnosis can prevent so much suffering.”

“She’s okay. For a human surrogate mother.”

How does the “Tsar” handle it today–does he allow himself to be cared for, or does he still need more procedures and care?
“He’s remarkably brave. Of course, he doesn’t like being ‘dethroned’ for treatment, but he knows it makes him feel better. Fortunately, we have a great vet team that’s very empathetic.”

How do you balance humor and awareness, especially regarding Cosmo’s heart condition?
“I think humor is a great door opener. When people laugh, they’re more likely to listen. This way, I can address serious topics like heart disease or dental issues without sounding preachy.”

If Cosmo had the last word, what would he say about you?
“She’s okay. For a human surrogate mother.”

And what would Apollo say–perhaps in his finest Russian dialect?
“Mamka, don’t touch my fluff! But she brings food on time. I’m satisfied.”

If you could wish for something for the two of them, what would it be: more snacks, more power, or just fewer vet appointments or grooming sessions?
“Definitely: fewer vet visits and more snacks! And for me: that we have many more healthy and fun years together.”
