It was an evening full of glamour, glitz, and animal internet stars. At the Petfluencer Night 2025 in Duisburg, Germany’s most successful dog and cat influencers came together—competing in the “Cats vs. Dogs” showdown for online supremacy. The first-ever joint presentation of the German Petfluencer Awards 2025 showcased how professionally, creatively, and emotionally pet videos are produced today. A cat account even secured two trophies at once.
Germany’s Petfluencers on Stage for the First Time
In the Gebläsehalle Duisburg on Saturday, October 25, 2025, ten outstanding dog and cat accounts from the German-speaking world were honored. The gala, presented by sponsors Animonda and Agria Pet Insurance, brought Catfluencers and Dogfluencers together on stage for the first time. The awards ceremony was hosted by Jana Azizi and Sandra Kuhn.
The event was all about the friendly competition “Cats vs. Dogs—Who Rules the Internet?” In the end, the contest was decided by just one point. “#TeamCats unsheathed their claws and claimed the title of internet supremacy by a one-point margin,” according to the press release.
An Evening of Style, Stories, and Stars on Four Paws
About 150 Catfluencers in white and 150 Dogfluencers in black made for an evening full of content, encounters, and entertainment. Besides the red carpet and numerous interactive areas, the awards were the main focus.
The German Petfluencer Awards are considered the “Oscars” of animal influencer marketing. They have been awarded by the Düsseldorf-based TONY Petfluencer Agency since 2019. This year’s juries, including cat expert Birga Dexel and dog coach Kate Kitchenham, awarded trophies in a total of five categories per animal type.
Double Honor for Apollo and Cosmo
Among the big winners of the evening were Tatjana and her two cats, Apollo and Cosmo. The popular cat duo impressed both the jury and the audience—securing two of the coveted awards. In her videos, Tatjana humorously voices her two very different cats, often poking fun at herself in the process.
“With two fantastic cat characters, excellent storytelling, and a lot of humor, Tatjana, Apollo, and Cosmo win the award for best moving image content,” it says. Their creative video work with charm and recognition value earned them the well-deserved title “Video Creator of the Year CATS.”
But that’s not all: Apollo and Cosmo also won the audience award. This once again proves their popularity online—and made them the double sensation of the evening.
Owner of Apollo and Cosmo: “Sometimes, it’s like working with two little drama queens.”
