Happy Birthday, PETBOOK! BILD’s new pet portal is packed with animal content: barking, meowing, chirping, and grunting from every corner. At the launch event Thursday evening in Berlin, influencers, celebrity animal lovers from the entertainment industry, and partners celebrated the sixth online magazine of the BOOK family.
Simply “Wow” – that was the most spoken phrase among guests at the PETBOOK launch event on Thursday. High above the rooftops of the capital, the launch of the new vertical of the successful BOOKs family was celebrated during a magnificent sunset. The online portal officially launched early in the morning, and by evening, the animal topics of the first day were hotly debated among the guests.
Numerous influencers and celebrities were enthusiastic about the PETBOOK launch, including actresses Anne Menden and Nina Ensmann. They came after filming on the GZSZ set in Potsdam. “I would do anything for animals,” said Anne Menden, who has been active in animal protection for years. She emphasized that she mainly advocates for neglected animals and is actively involved in a farm for animals that no one wants anymore.
Menden is supported in her fight for better animal welfare by her colleague Nina Ensmann. The two dog owners agreed: “Unfortunately, animals don’t really have a lobby. More needs to be done.”

Guests at the launch party were welcomed by Michael Beck, General Manager Content Verticals, and BOOK Editor-in-Chief Nuno Alves.
In addition to prominent animal friends, Claudius Senst (CEO BILD and WELT) congratulated the BOOKs family team.
As a strategic advertising partner of PETBOOK, Benedikt Faerber (General Director Digital Sales, Media Impact) welcomed Katharina & Stefan Miklauz from the Austrian company Petco at the launch.

BILD Chief Johannes Boie was pleased about the future “animal-themed exchange” among colleagues. Together with Claudius Senst, he stopped by for a signature drink in “PETBOOK green” at the launch.

For the PETBOOK editorial team, the launch was a perfect occasion to exchange ideas on new topics.
Celebrity Animal Friends at the PETBOOK Launch

At the relaxed get-together, the celebrity couple Philipp Stehler and Vanessa Ciomber impressed with their passion for horses. The two animal lovers have been breeding these noble animals in Brandenburg for years. Philipp Stehler shared a story from his childhood: “In the past, horses in my family still pulled the plow across the field.”

At the PETBOOK launch, the couple also revealed that they are planning to expand their family soon: “I really want a dog again, preferably a Bordeaux Mastiff,” the model shared.

Influencers Julia Paech and Sven Suchanek traveled from Hanover. Together, the couple runs an Instagram account for their dog Felix, who has already traveled the world. On the evening of the PETBOOK launch, however, the couple allowed him to rest – in the spirit of animal welfare.
Moderator and actress Maren Gilzer had a whole range of animal topics. She recently got an older dog from the shelter for her over 80-year-old mother. “The two have so much joy together,” enthused the former “Wheel of Fortune” host. “But how could it be otherwise? Animals bring so much joy.”
