Beke Enderstein
Freelance Author
Beke Enderstein was born near Hamburg in 1976. After studying nutritional science at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel, she took the creative route: Beke completed internships in several food editorial departments. In addition to creating content about healthy, sustainable nutrition, the ecotrophologist has specialized in the creation of vegan and vegetarian recipes, including food styling. Beke left her home in the north of Germany back in 2006 to live in her adopted home of Berlin. From there, she has been writing regularly for FITBOOK as a freelance author since 2020. Since her heart has been beating for animals since her earliest childhood, she has also been creating content for PETBOOK since 2022. Of course, this also includes nutritious recipe ideas for four-legged friends. Her creations for treats are tried and tested by her cat Findus and her dog Jasper.

Louisa Stoeffler
Editor
Louisa Stoeffler is an editor with a passion for writing about animal topics. Since early childhood, guinea pigs, rabbits, canaries and budgies have accompanied her throughout her life. However, cats are particularly close to her heart, with whom she has been regularly involved as a cat sitter since 2016. Her path to PETBOOK has taken her through many stations, including projects for Brigitte.de, Leben-und-Erziehen.de and t-online. In her free time, she enjoys reading books featuring dragons, climbing mountains and discovering new places.
Manuela Bauer
Freelance Author
Manuela Bauer writes, shoots and speaks as a freelance author on topics relating to pets and wild animals. For the well-known pet show “Hundkatzemaus” on Vox, she has produced around 100 reports with presenters Diana Eichhorn and Frank Weber. But her range of topics also includes exciting docu-soaps about wild mustangs and animal welfare reports about animal testing or pigs in factory farming. She has been writing for various dog magazines since 2018 and also produces podcasts. She also works as a voice-over artist and lends her voice to Dr. Michelle Oakley for the successful series “The Yukon Vet” (running on “National Geographic” since 2014). Professionally, Manuela is fascinated by all kinds of animals, from woodlice to zebra mongooses. In her private life, her heart beats for cats and, since she became a garden owner, for snails of all kinds.
Manuela Lieflaender
Freelance Author
Inspiring stories are Manu Lieflaender's great passion. Even as a teenager, she put together a team of graphic designers, sacrificed her savings (and those of her best friend) and launched her own music magazine. A publishing house became aware of the magazine and the unconventional interviews and brought out the follow-up title with Manu as editor-in-chief. When the publisher fell ill, she decided to continue writing as a freelancer for various music magazines such as “Metal Hammer” (Axel Springer). She interviewed well-known artists and bands such as Metallica, Eminem, Rammstein, Bela B. (Die Ärzte), Korn, etc. When the era of “real” rock stars had come to an end and new bands only seemed interesting because of their image, Manu devoted herself to her second passion: dogs and horses. She initially remained loyal to the celebrity sector and spoke to the stars about their four-legged companions for various magazines. A short time later, the animal bond became a lifestyle. The thematic portfolio of the certified dog psychologist and horsewoman includes advice texts as well as reports on animal-friendly travel destinations and in-depth experience reports.
Mareike Schmidt
Editor
Mareike Schmidt writes about all kinds of animal-related topics at PETBOOK. She is able to pursue her interest in creative writing and literature both here as an editor and in her studies of modern German literature. In her private life, she enjoys spending time with friends and keeps fit with Pilates and yoga, among other things. When she's not on the road, she spends her time at home with her cat Archie, whom she adopted from an animal shelter.
Marike Stucke

As a child, Marike Stucke always wanted to be a vet. Unfortunately, it soon turned out that she couldn't see blood - extremely unfavorable for her career aspirations. So she studied biology and became a journalist. Today she is able to live out her love for animals privately by riding horses and professionally by writing about pets for PETBOOK. Her dream is to one day set up an animal rescue center on the Canary Islands.

Philine Ebert
Freelance Author
Philine Ebert is in her early forties, lives in Munich and works in a traditional trade. If you had asked her as a child what she wanted to be when she grew up, her answer would have been a vet or a journalist. Over the years, this wish has turned into a hobby. She has now also made “dogs” and “writing” her part-time profession. After her own dog fundamentally changed her life nine years ago, she began to study animals and their health in more detail. Fascinated by numerous seminars and lectures, she has been a certified health consultant for dogs and cats since 2024. She is also currently completing additional training as a nutrition and BARF consultant for dogs. She arrived at PETBOOK via author competitions and travel reports for “DOG and Travel Magazine” and is able to pass on her knowledge and passion to readers.
